Honoring Our Heroes: Veterans Day Parade and Ceremony in Virginia Beach

One of the most anticipated events in Virginia Beach is the annual Veterans Day Parade and Ceremony, taking place on November 11, 2024. The festivities kick off with a vibrant parade that begins at 9:00 AM at 16th Street and Atlantic Avenue. Participants can expect an impressive display featuring over 100 units, including representatives from all branches of the armed forces—Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Space Force, and Coast Guard. 

The parade will culminate at the Tidewater Veterans Memorial, located across from the Virginia Beach Convention Center at 1000 19th St, where a formal ceremony will commence at 11:00 AM.

This year’s event promises to be particularly special, with several exciting highlights:

• Military Flyover: Attendees can look forward to a thrilling flyover by the Military Aviation Museum, which will include an aerial salute to our veterans.
• Ceremony Speeches: Following the parade, local military and civic dignitaries will deliver speeches honoring the sacrifices made by veterans throughout history.
• Veterans Luncheon: After the ceremony, a complimentary luncheon for veterans will be held at the Double Tree Hotel, providing an opportunity for fellowship and camaraderie among those who have served.
