My husband and I celebrated his retirement from the US Navy here! Gaston’s Italian Steakhouse in Virginia Beach is a hidden gem that combines upscale dining with a cozy atmosphere, making it perfect for special occasions or casual meals. During our recent visit, we were impressed by the elegant decor, featuring illuminated paintings of Italy that set a charming backdrop. The service was exceptional; our servers were polite and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout our meal. To finish, we indulged in the crème brûlée, which was simply divine. There are two big events taking place this weekend! First, Luke Bryan is bringing his Farm Tour to Chesapeake! This is happening at Heritage Park on Friday, September 20th. Parking opens at 2 pm and the show begins at 6 pm. The show is happening rain or shine! You can get your tickets and more information about this event on Luke Bryan’s tour website.   After a fun night at the farm tour, make sure to check out the annual Blue Angel airshow taking place at NAS Oceana. The theme for this year’s show, taking place September 21st and 22nd, is “Inspire. Educate. Soar!” In addition to the Blue Angels, the F-22 Raptor Demonstration Team will also be showcased. This event is free to the public, but ALL spectators over the age of 18 will need to present a physical photo ID to get onto base.
